Overview
So you wanna learn about colors? Well, currently Rat-ARPG has a limited range of colors. All based on colors that occur within real bred rats. The most common of which are Agouti and Black. I could go on about the two but I won't for now. In Rat-APRG we have compressed some of the colors into simpler terms and come up with 'Saturations' for them.
I will now share them with you, along with the eye color saturations we have. We will be introducing more realistic and unrealistic colors to the group as we progress!
A rat with Agouti coloration will have a darker gradient on it's back. In real life, undomesticated rats who have not been bred are often either Agouti or Black. In Rat-ARPG it is still a common coloration, but of course, not the only one. Below is the saturation for this color.
Amber may also take on a hint of burnt sienna. This color is less common in Rat-ARPG. It is based on a real rat coloration. Below is the saturation for this color.
Black is self explanatory. It is a common marking color but an uncommon base color. Below is the saturation for this color.
A yellow-ish to cream color, Blonde is an uncommon color in Rat-ARPG Rats. Below is the saturation for this color.
Blue is more of a grey/blue. It is a compression of the colorations 'sky blue', 'american blue', 'dark blue', ect. It has a large range of saturation due to the many types of blue color a rat may exhibit. It is considered common in Rat-Arpg. Below is the saturation for this color.
Although it is not the brown may normally think of, this is what brown usually entails in Rat-ARPG. It is compressed of the rat colorations brown, chocolate, and cinnamon. It is a common coloration in Rat-ARPG. Below is the saturation for this color.
This soft color is a compression of the rat coloration's fawn and beige. It is a rare color in Rat-ARPG. Below is the saturation for this color.
Grey ranges from dark grey to light grey. It is in between the white and black colorations. It is a common marking color and an uncommon base color. Below is the saturation for this color.
A brownish grey and a lighter version of Taupe. It is a common color in Rat-ARPG. Below is the saturation for this color.

A stunning and yet real coloration for rats. Rat's with this coloration seem to shine. Platinum is a rare coloration in Rat-ARPG. Below is the saturation for this color.
Finally we have white. As you can see it also dips into grey. White is also used for Albino, but only the lighter side of the saturation and beyond. White is a base color and sometimes a marking color. It is common in Rat-ARPG. Below is the saturation for this color.
Eye colors here are not realistic. Often rat eyes are black, red, or pink. Though I have seen rat's with blue irises, but it was hard to see since their pupils are large.
There is a very small saturation going on here. Not much though. Black is pretty self-explanatory. Below is the saturation for this color.
Blue is one of the most gorgeous and varied color for eyes so far. I may have gone a little crazy with the saturation for this one. Below is the saturation for this color.
A warm chocolate-y brown color. Below is the saturation for this color.
Pretty forest green to grassy field green. Below is the saturation for this color.
To be honest I don't really understand hazel eyes. This was me guessing. Below is the saturation for this color.
Common eye color for albinos, uncommon for regular rats. Lots of saturation for this one, going from a cold pink to a warm pink. Below is the saturation for this color.
A stunning eye color that appears in Rat-ARPG ratties! Purple is a rare eye color that can also appear in Albino rats. The color ranges from a deep purple to lavender. Below is the saturation for this color.
Common for albino rats. Uncommon for normal rats. Below is the saturation for this color.
From bright yellow to gold, this eye color is a sight to behold. Below is the saturation for this color.

IT'S TIME TO RENOVATE! (IMPORTANT)
I like some of the ideas you guys threw at me in the last journal! I have been thinking about the group a lot and getting some ideas from other groups. I've talked to the other mods and we've decided to close up the group for a few days to re-organize, re-write, and re-make a lot of the group's system!
What does that mean? That just means we will finish up all pending orders/transactions/breedings, and not accept anymore until we re-open. So no worries to those who have paid or sent in things before this journal is posted!
Now what will be doing? A LOT. For one thing I will be either rewriting or editing all the journals to make them easier
New Things? :O (We want YOUR opinion!)
Heyo all, we've been pretty silent around here and I deeply apologize for that. I've been having difficulty thinking up new things for the group due to my co-owner being MIA. It's a bit disheartening to be around here without her, but I trust when she's ready and squared away her RL issues that she'll return. In the mean time the mod team and I ARE working on some stuff. It's coming along very slowly but the main problem is our hectic schedules and the fact that school has or will be starting very soon! That and some of us have jobs, haha.
We're trying to work on a contest at the moment (and we want to install an 'achievements' feature which

Just thought to make a journal for the chat this group has.
I'm (Oliv-e) on the chat if anyone wishes to talk!

We're going to have to close breeding notes and shop orders of ratty die and mirrors again for a while, as we have a lot to catch up on. We apologize greatly for this and hope we can get everything done soon and hopefully we'll have more time for everything again.
If you're confused as to why this is in a new journal it's because I can't edit journals for the group, but Ink asked me to make this to inform you all.
